House Updates

After our vacation to Bemidji, we are now finally starting to feel like this is our HOME! Things are finding a place to be and we are becoming more organized each day.

I have been weeding the garden around the house nearly everyday because I had been slacking in the spring. Luckily, the people who lived here before had plants clearly marked and flowers planted that come in each year without any problem so I have had it relatively easy.

While weeding, I had a bit of a scare becuase I was moving around the wood chips and found something that made me scream! Mike helped out with the shovel.

Can you guess what it is?

I know. Gross right?

While weeding, I decided some of our shrubs needed trimming. I got carried away and it has a bit of a bald spot in the front. . . oh well, hopefully it will grow back. LOL

One of the shrub/tree's by our garage didn't quite make the cut. It was cut down by my own personal lumberjack with a hand saw. As you can see it was not a big shrub, just lots of little branches.

Our burn piles keeps growing and growing!

This tree will also eventually go, it is out of control, and is in the power lines. Mike will be using a chain saw for this one!!

Along with doing projects outside, we have been busy inside too. We are switching out all outlets and light switches. The light swithches are a push button switch, and the outlets are all two-pronged. Its a tedious task, but will be worth it when we are finished!

He does such great work! Especailly after getting shocked because I turned off the wrong fuse...oops my bad!
