We have been incredibly busy these past few weeks. Mike had his district and state track meets this month and has done incredilby well. I am so proud of him and his athletes. He had a state champion in the long jump and his team placed 4th overall at state. They got a suprise ride on the fire truck upon arrival back to Durant.
Schools out for the summer. . . we have our last "teacher day" tomorrow to wrap up, clean up, and staff luncheon. Hopefully we can get all checked out of our classrooms tomorrow, so we can be ready for summer.
As many of you already know, I have resigned my position as preschool teacher. It was a sad day when I told my principal/superintendant, but they were both very supportive and understood why I was resigning. This was a SUPER difficult decision for me, but bitter sweet as well because I have loved teaching at Durant and cannot wait to be home with the baby!
We had our monthly baby check-up last Wed. morning. We did the usual
Weight - up 6 lbs now (to 131)
Heartbeat - 134
My uterus apparently is growing just right and is hanging out right at my belly button, even though the baby is hanging out VERY low, right on my bladder.
At my appointment, I asked the doctor about running, because I have been really missing running lately. I have been making up with it by walking a couple miles 3 times/week. The doctor gave me the go-ahead, so Mike and I went for a run this HOT, muggy evening. I only made it about a mile before I thought I was going to pee my pants~ lol.
We spent our holiday weekend cleaning out our basement, organizing bills into files, setting up my new office for Infor, setting up my sewing corner with my new sewing table from Megan and making room for my many prechool supplies and baby equipment/clothing.
Next weekend, we will make a trip to Montgomery to see Allistair's graduation from High School. Mike is excited to get to run the corn dog machine with brother-in-law, Teddy.
On Monday, June 6 (a week away!) we have our ultrasound to find out what we are having. We are so excited to find out and share with everyone what we are having. We are however keeping our baby names secret until the birth :)
