To-Do List is COMPLETE

We have had our families here in Durant helping us get stuff ready upstairs. Craig and Ann were here for a whole week, Alison and her bf, Brian, for the weekend, and my family - Kim and Michelle and kids for 3 days.

We are so grateful for all the help they did here with us to get everything ready for contractors that will start on September 1st.

Some of the pictures below show the work that we did.

We had no stud finder to hang the TV

(which I was told wouldn't work anyway with the two of them in the house)...

needless to say, they ended up buying one after about 10 minutes of this!

ALMOST FINISHED GOWN! (BROKE A NEEDLE ON THE LAST DAY)

Baby Update:

I am now 28 weeks pregnant! Where has the time gone?

We had a bit of a scare two weeks ago when Mike found a stretchmark on my stomach. I freaked out for about 2 days until it disappeared. Turns out it was just a scratch. . . Nothing to worry about - yet! My daily to-do list now includes tummy lotion.

We go to the doctor next week. This will be the last of our monthly visits. I am now in my 3rd trimester which means I will go every two week to see him.

Also on our daily to-do list is counting kicks! The doctor has us counting kicks one time each day to be sure that there are at least 10 kicks per hour. Our little girl must want to be soccer player or a punter because each time I sit down to count kicks she has at least 10 in under 10 minutes.

I go for blood work this week to check for gestational diabetes.

COMING UP NEXT:

Looking forward to the next few weekends. Mike and I will celebrate our 6th Anniversary on Saturday. Ragbri (the bike across Iowa) is on Saturday and we are looking forward to watching the bikers ride through Durant.

The weekend of August 6th we will spend a couple days in Algona, Iowa. We will meet Rebecca and her fiance's family there for some fun on the water and in the sun. We are looking forward to this. Football will start on Monday, August 8th for Mike.
